We are Christiane and Jan. Our journey together began in 1993 on Mallorca. Even then, we knew our lives would be shaped by adventure, nature, and deep connection. In 2019 this journey eventually brought us here, to the wide open beauty of Nova Scotia. For more than 30 years we’ve walked side by side, raising our sons, building businesses, and following a vision that always pointed toward freedom, land, and a more grounded way of life.
Lindsay Lake Farms is the heart of that vision. Here, bison roam across rolling fields, Clydesdales invite quiet moments of connection, and forests stand as living guardians of the land. We tend the soil, raise animals with respect, and welcome guests into experiences that go far beyond a simple visit - circles of healing, farm stays, and tastes of food rooted in both our German heritage and our Canadian home.
This farm is more than our livelihood. It is a living testament to what we believe: that beauty, tradition, and nature belong together. Every guest who walks our trails, shares our table, or meets our animals becomes part of this unfolding story.

Farm Day Pass
You can now spend a day on the farm. Walk the trails. See the bison from the perimeter. Get close to the Clydesdales. Breathe in the open landscape. Slow down into the rhythm of land and animals. This is not staged entertainment. This is real nature — and your time inside it.
Our new Farm Day Pass gives you respectful access to designated areas of the farm so you can reconnect with what is real, grounded, and alive.
